Chocolate chip cookie bars are a popular treat no matter what time of year it happens to be. The cookie bars just have a way of indulging your chocolate cravings like no other chocolate recipe can. The richness of the bars is deep and smooth and there are lots of different ways that you can customize your chocolate chip cookie bar recipe. For example, some chocolate bars taste great with oatmeal added into them while others are crafted with creamy caramel.
In this article, we will address how to make the best chocolate chip cookie bars imaginable - and as an added bonus, we will also include how to make the diabetic version of these cookie bars so that everyone can rightfully enjoy them!
Let's Start Out With the Ingredients
For the regular chocolate chip cookie bars, here are the most important ingredients that you will need. You can always make substitutes or add in tasty treats to alter the recipe.
This recipe is able to make thirty-six chocolate chip cookie bars. Be careful not to over-bake the bars - always set a timer. Approximate baking time is twenty-five to thirty-five minutes.
First, heat your oven to three hundred and fifty degrees fahrenheit. Start greasing up your pan which should be 9"x13". Take out a large bowl and combine the sugar and melted butter - be careful to stir very well. After those ingredients have blended, add in your eggs one at a time.
Beat and stir the eggs thoroughly so that the mixture is smooth. Stir in your vanilla next. Measure your flour out and add it into the mixture. Mix for awhile. Then, carefully stir in your chocolate chips. After everything is nicely blended, pour your mix into the sprayed and greased pan. You can now place your pan in the oven and wait about half an hour for your bars to bake. Happy eating!
In a small mixing bowl, combine the butter, egg, vanilla and sweetener (liquid or powder). Beat the mixture for about a minute and a half. Measure out your flour and add that and remaining ingredients (expect for chocolate pieces and nuts) and blend well. Beat mixture for two minutes - make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl. Now you can stir in your chocolate pieces and nuts. Pour your batter into an ungreased eight inch baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees fahrenheit for about twenty-one minutes. Let it cool afterward before cutting it into chocolate bars. This recipe makes about twenty-four bars
It is fun to make cookies with funky designs or put your personality into the cookie that you are baking. Thea Sophe and I love emotion cookies (emoticookies?) on which you try to put emotions using faces. Baking cookies is something that you can do when you are in love, sad, mad, or even happy. Or just hungry. Why don't you try it!
The history of chocolate chip cookies is maybe a bit off topic, but is definitely an interesting read.
